Jeanette Pickens Dies at Newton
Newton, IA – Jeanette Gertrude Pickens, 67, died Sunday at Skiff Hospital. According to her request, the body was taken to the State University of Iowa for medical research. No memorial service will be held.
She was born at Monroe and was a long-time employee of Johnson Jewelers. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors include a brother, Dr. Ivan H. Sheeler of Marshalltown, and two nephews.
