Services Held
Services for Marjorie Phifer were held Friday, February 18, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Monroe. Burial was in Silent City Cemetery.
Marjorie Phifer, age 90 of Monroe, died Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

The daughter of John Cochran and Jennie Louisa (Sellers) Waddle, Marjorie was born on October 6, 1914 in Marion County. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1931. On October 22, 1938 she was united in marriage to Dale Phifer in Milan, Missouri. Marjorie was a lifelong resident of Monroe working at Simpson Produce and also at the school for many years. She was also active at the First Baptist Church where she was a longtime member.
Surviving are her four daughters, Delores and Harlan Marshall, Betty and Harold Beyer and Eula Rawls all of Monroe and Joyce Cline of Des Moines, 13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and four step great grandchildren.
Preceding Marjorie in death were her parents, husband in 1974, two sons, Daryl in infancy and Johnny as well as a brother Ralph Waddle.
