Life Story of Naomi Peyton
Mrs. William H. (Naomi Mae) Peyton, 68, of Embassy Manor in Newton, a longtime resident of Monroe, died Tuesday at the University Hospitals in Iowa City.
Funeral services were held Friday morning at the United Presbyterian Church in Monroe.
The Rev. Douglas Maben conducted the services. Burial was in the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Survivors are a son and daughter-in-law, Larry D. and Marjorie Benton of Monroe and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two infant children.
Mrs. Peyton was a member of the Rebekah Lodge and the Monroe United Presbyterian Church.
The daughter of Herbert E. and Elizabeth Anna Quick Johnson, she was born Dec. 31, 1910, in Monroe.
