Funeral services for Claud Pettis were held May 28, 2008, at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City, with burial following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Claud Pettis Memorial Fund.
The son of Tom Harvey and Goldie (Collins) Pettis, Claud was born on August 27, 1940 in Decatur County, Iowa. On October 13, 1961, he was united in marriage to Joyce Faye Noland. Claud enjoyed camping.
Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Joyce Pettis; his children, Steven (Lynda) Pettis, Barbara McNichols, Randy Pettis, Lori (Bruce) Hanson, Michelle (Bob) Pettis, and Joseph (Linda) Pettis all of Des Moines; 6 great grandchildren.
Claud was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and four brothers.
