Services for Deanna Lee Gillette Perret, 46, of Arabi, Louisiana, were held Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at First Christian Church in Albia. Burial was in Osborn Cemetery in Lovilia.
She passed away June 28, 2001, at Arabi, LA, of cancer.
Deana was born in Newton and had worked for the law firm of Pulaski, Gieger, and Laborde in New Orleans. She had been in the U.S. Navy for 23 years as Chief Petty Officer.
Survivors are her husband, Michael Perret of Arabi, Louisiana, a daughter, Danielle Payne of Arabi, Louisiana; her father, Erwin Gillette of Newton; her mother, Zelma L. Weiss of Zephyr Cove, Nevada; step parents, Ron Weiss and Dixie Gillette; two sisters, Tresa Gillette of Westminster, California, and Shawna Ringler of Des Moines; and a brother, Allen Gillette of Leadville, Colorado.
