Life Story of Lois F. Parr
Mrs. Ernest (Lois Florence) Parr, 78, a resident of the Monroe community for 30 years, died Wednesday at the Nelson Manor Care Center in Newton.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the United Presbyterian Church in Monroe.
The Rev. Douglas Maben, pastor of the church conducted the services. Burial was in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Survivors are a son, Lee of Monroe; three daughters, Mrs. Howard (Irene) Ellis of Bussey, Mrs. Harold (Louise) Nolin of Monroe and Mrs. Sam (Marlene) Evan of Moravia, Calif., and two sisters, Mrs. Meri (Mildred) Hart of Plainfield, Ill., and Mrs. Arthur (Lorena) Hull of Chariton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and a sister.
The daughter of Franklin and Dora Prather Carson, she was born April 8, 1900 in Lucas County.
She was married Sept. 7, 1919, in Lucas County.
