David Parker, age 54 of Monroe, died Saturday, April 4, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at the First Baptist Church of Monroe at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at Coburn Funeral Home of Monroe from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. with family present to greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Memorials may be given to the Dave Parker Memorial Fund and online condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.
The son of Albert and Lucy (Daines) Parker, Dave was born on July 3, 1954, in Knoxville. Dave worked as a machinist and had passion for working on hotrod cars. Dave was also a graphic artist. When not working, Dave loved spending time with his most treasured possession, his boys and his family. Dave especially enjoyed playing pranks on those he loved most.
Survivors are his two sons; Curtis Parker of Newton and Colton :arker of Monroe, and five siblings: Glenn Carson, Albert Parker Jr., Shirley Kinney, Suzann Blomgren, and Sally Haines.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents.
