Services Held
Funeral services for Bobby Dean Mohler, 59, a resident of Reasnor for 34 years, were held 1:30 Friday, March 19, 1993, at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton.
The Rev. John Moorlach, pastor of the Reasnor United Methodist Church, conducted services. Burial was in Palo Alto Cemetery.
Memorials in his name will be accepted.
He died Monday evening in Albert Lea, Minnesota, following a massive heart attack.
Survivors are his wife, Viola; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael of Kellogg and Kelly and Leeanne of Fort Hood, Texas; five grandchildren; his mother, Beulah Adams of Knoxville; two brothers, Dale of Newton and Larry of Knoxville; and three sisters, Marcella Smith of Des Moines, Patty Douglas of Knoxville and Sandra O’Brien of Oskaloosa.
He was preceded in death by his father, George, in 1972, a sister, Colleen, in infancy and a brother, George Jr., in 1942.
Mr. Mohler, who had been employed at Bob’s Deep Rock in Newton for 10 years and as field district supervisor for the past 18 years for the Lambert Co., was a member of the Newton Moose Lodge and Eagles Lodge in Indianola.
He was born October 1, 1933, in Knoxville and attended Knoxville Community Schools.
He was married to Viola Marie Adams March 9, 1957, at the Reasnor Methodist Church.
He had lived in Marion County for 36 years prior to moving to Jasper County.
