Services Held
Funeral services for Frank Bryan Mitchell, 80, a resident of Monroe since 1949 and a retired Monroe and Colfax barber, were held Saturday morning at the Monroe United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Jerry Wolcott, pastor of the church conducted services. Masonic memorial services were conducted during the church services.
Graveside rites were held Saturday afternoon at the Woods Cemetery near Chariton.
He died Thursday, April 23, 1981, at the Knoxville Community Hospital.
Survivors are his wife, Faye; a son, James, of Garwin; a daughter, Mary Rastofer of Des Moines; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.
Mr. Mitchell was a member of the Humeston Masonic Lodge, the Za-Ga-Zig Shrine and the Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
The son of Frank and Mary Hart Mitchell, he was born May 21, 1900, in Cambria, was graduated from Humeston High School and attended Drake University in Des Moines.
He was married to Faye Yates April 9, 1928, in Kansas City, Mo.
