Gladys E. Mitchell Services are Sunday
Monroe (Special) - Funeral services for Gladys E. Mitchell, a resident of Monroe for several years, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Monroe Methodist Church.
The Rev. Orrin Young, pastor of the church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in a family cemetery near Humeston.
Miss Mitchell was co-owner of Mitchell Café in Monroe with her brother, Frank.

Life Story of Gladys Mitchell
Funeral services were held for Gladys Evelyn Mitchell of Monroe, Sunday, January 10, at the Methodist Church.
The Rev. Orin Young, pastor of the church, conducted the services. Burial was at Woods Cemetery near Humeston.
Mrs. Orin Young was the soloist with Mrs. James Munson the organist.
Pallbearers were Oris Umpferman, Glen Mitchell, James Mitchell, Kenneth Mitchell, Keith Mitchell and Glen Stewart.
Gladys Evelyn Mitchell, daughter of Frank M. and Mary E. Mitchell, was born Sept. 1, 1893 in Wayne County and passed away at the Iowa Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines on Jan. 8, 1960.
She has resided in Monroe the last 10 ˝ years. Previous to this time she lived in Des Moines.
Miss Mitchell is survived by two brothers, Clinton C. Mitchell, Elma; and Frank B. Mitchell, Monroe; and several nephews and nieces.
She was receded in death by her parents, five sisters and two brothers.
She was a member of the Methodist church, Rebekahs and a Phythian Sister.
