Services Held
Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home for Vyrlee Pauline Mick, 67, of Newton. She died Sept. 29, 1986, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
The Rev. Julia Poulsen, pastor of St. Luke United Methodist Church, conducted services. Burial was in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Survivors are a son, Kenton Mick of Garner; a daughter, Linda (Mrs. Robert) Burns of Newton; five grandchildren; and a sister, Dessie (Mrs. Homer) Carnahan of Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Lester.
The daughter of James and Mamie McCoy Ramer, she was born Nov. 15, 1918 in rural Galesburg.
She was married to Lester Mick Aug. 1, 1936.
