Dwight Wilson Mick, 68, retired electrician in Phoenix, Arizona, former Monroe and Newton resident died in his sleep at his summer home in Overgaard, Arizona on May 22, 1997.
Funeral services were held May 28, 1997, in Phoenix, Arizona. Interment was in the National Cemetery of Arizona.
Dwight was born August 8, 1928, in Jasper County, son of Ethel Wilson and Lyle M. Mick. He served in the army from 1946 to 1948. In 1949 he was married to Helen Corbett of Newton.
Dwight had worked for Iowa Southern Utilities in Newton, before moving his family to Phoenix.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; one daughter Diana (William) Twitchell of Chandler, Arizona; three sons, Ronnie (Gayle) of Solana Beach, California, Jack and Steven of Phoenix; 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and a sister Lyla (Ray) Williams of Fairfax, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Wendell, Daryl and an infant sister.
