Life Story of Pat Metcalf
Funeral services for Pat Metcalf, 78, a longtime resident of Reasnor, were held Tuesday afternoon at Toland-Wallace Funeral Home in Newton.
The Rev. James Stiles, pastor of the Reasnor United Methodist Church, conducted the services. Burial was in Palo Alto Cemetery.
Survivors are three sisters, Mrs. George (Vesta) Gabbard of Versailles, Ind., Mrs. Myrtle Gabbard of Independence, Ky., and Mrs. Etta Steele of Vicco, Ky., and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife December 20, 1969, two brothers and a sister.
Mr. Metcalf was a member of the United Methodist Church.
A veteran of World War I, he was a retired farmer.
The son of W. E. (Billy) and Lizzie Mayse Metcalf, he was born July 10, 1892 in Jackson County, Ky.
He was married to Florence Gail Woody December 18, 1919, at Newton.
Mr. Metcalf died Saturday morning at Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton.
