Life Story of Floyd McDaniel
Floyd McDaniel, 77, Monroe, died Sunday night at Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Services were at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church.
The Rev. Arthur Nichols officiated and burial was in the Monroe Cemetery.
Surviving are his widow, Blanch; a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Marvel) Wilson, Monroe; two sons, Mason of Des Moines and Ray of Clarence; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are four brothers, Viley of Monroe, Claude of Newton, Howard of Monroe and Sam of Vallejo, Calif., and four sisters, Mrs. Ethel Carter of Des Moines, Mrs. Cleo (Macy) Wright of Knoxville, Mrs. Lafey (Margaret) McComas of Monroe and Mrs. Wilbur (Olive) Robson of Newton.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild, two brothers and two sisters.
Mr. McDaniel, who was employed as a carpenter, was a 50-year member of the Fairview Masonic Lodge No. 194, Monroe.
The son of Uriah and Sarah Kingery McDaniel, he was born November 22, 1891, in Marion.
He was married to Blanch E. Birkenholz April 15, 1919 in Des Moines.
