Oskaloosa, IA – Elizabeth Gross McCurdy, 84, of Oskaloosa, died of a heart attack Wednesday at Mahaska County Hospital. She retired as owner and operator of McCall Monument Co. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Congregational United Church of Christ. Burial will be in White Oak Cemetery in Mahaska County.
Mrs. McCurdy was born in Montezuma. She previously worked for Alsop’s Ladies Wear. She was a member of St. Paul Congregational United Church of Christ and Oskaloosa Chapter No. 146 of Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include a daughter, Alta Beatrice Williams of Harrison, Ark.; three sons, Robert Earl of Russell, Donald Eugene of Oskaloosa and John William of Marshalltown; and six grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Garland-Van Arkel Funeral Home.
