Life Story of Laura McBride
Mrs. William (Laura L.) McBride, 93, of Newton, died Thursday evening at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Wallace Funeral Home.
The Rev. Richard Bentzinger, pastor of the United Methodist Church, conducted the services. Burial was in the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Survivors are three sons, Wilbur of Oskaloosa, Wayne of Newton and Dale of Des Moines; two daughters, Mrs. Wilford (Katharine) Gerbracht of Seattle, Wash., and Mrs. John (Margaret) Longnecker of Fort Morgan, Colo.; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1965 and five brothers.
Mrs. McBride was a member of the Reasnor United Methodist Church.
The daughter of George and Nancy Honnold Perry, she was born April 19, 1885 near Galesburg.
She was married March 22, 1905 at Reasnor.
