Services Held
Funeral services were held for Fred Francis Matheny on March 17, 1986 at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton. Rev. Harold Den Hartog, Pastor, Metz Community Church officiated. Burial was in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
He died March 13 at V.A. Medical Center, Des Moines.
Survivors are his wife, Eula of Newton, stepson Floyd “Donnie” Engle of Newton; 2 stepdaughters, Mrs. Craig (Doris) Booth, Arvada, Colo., and Mrs. Kenneth (June) Veverka of Limon, Colo. and one brother, Normie Matheny of Springtown, Texas.
