Phyllis Machin, 68, of Monroe died of a respiratory ailment Tuesday at Des Moines General Hospital. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Monroe United Methodist Church, and burial will be in Silent City Cemetery.
Mrs. Machin, a lifelong Monroe resident, worked for PAG Seeds for 25 years and retired as deputy Jasper County Assessor. She was a member of the Methodist Church.
Among her survivors are her husband, H. D.; and her mother, Ivy Dingeman, and two sisters, Dorothy Hewitt and Crystal Dykstra, all of Monroe.
Friends may call after noon today at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Monroe Emergency Unit or Monroe Library.
