Funeral services for Mary Alice Machin were held at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe on May 26, 1987. Rev. Eldon Pals officiated with interment in the Palo Alto Cemetery in Newton.
Mary Alice Machin, age 101, passed away at the Clearview Manor in Prairie City on Sunday, May 24, 1987.
She was born in the Oklahoma Territory on March 8, 1886, the daughter of John and Amelia Vilmure Hallacy. On January 6, 1906 she was united in marriage to Harvey Machin at Girard, Kansas.
Mrs. Machin is survived by her son and daughter-in-law H. D. and Phyllis Machin of Monroe, a sister Mrs. Anna Burt of San Jose, California, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband, 2 brothers John and Edward and 2 sisters, Kathryn and Nora.
