Two old residents have joined the silent majority. Andrew Mitchell died December 18, aged 71 years, and December 19 Mrs. Louisa Koder passed away, aged 66 years. Mr. Mitchell was a native of Scotland and has resided in Iowa since 1866 and in Monroe since 1884. His wife, who survives him, was formerly Miss Mary A Connor of near Newton. Three daughters are also bereaved. Mrs. Koder was the mother of seven children, four sons and three daughters. One daughter lives in Monroe, the other member of the family elsewhere.
