Services to be Held
A funeral mass will be held Thursday, Feb. 18, 1988 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Newton, for John William Knittle; William Kaska, pastor officiating. Burial will be in the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
John William Knittle, age 54, passed away at an Eau Claire, Wisconsin hospital on Saturday, Feb. 13, 1988. He was born at Waukon, Iowa on Nov. 5, 1933, the son of John E. and Dorothy Langheim Knittle. He is survived by his 2 children, Jason Knittle and Jona Knittle, both of Withie, Wis., his mother, Dorothy Knittle of Monroe, a sister Anna Mae (Mrs. Wayne) Shannon of Monroe and a brother Robert C. Knittle of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his father. Wake services was held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home.
