Services Held
Services for Dale Klingensmith, 55, of Monroe, were held January 7, 1999, at the Winfield Funeral Home in Albia. Rev. Kent Shane officiated services. Burial was in Oakview Cemetery in Albia.
Dale died January 4, 1999, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines of a heart ailment.
Dale was born October 16, 1943, in Lovilia, Iowa, to Harry and Rose McCoy Klingensmith. He married Patricia Ruth Stone in March of 1964, at the United Brethren Church in Albia. He worked at Maytag in Newton for 28 ½ years. He was raised in Albia, Iowa, moving to Monroe, Iowa, in 1973. He is a member of the St. Paul’s in Albia. He was also a member of the U.A.W., local 997.
Survivors are his mother-in-law, Florence Stone of Albia; his wife, Patricia Klingensmith of Monroe; one son, Joe Klingensmith of Newton; two daughters, Lori Cole of Monroe and Amy Birkenholtz of Fort Knox, Kentucky; two grandson; 1 sister, June Nicoletto of Des Moines; 1 brother, Garry Klingensmith of Mineral Wells, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
