Conduct Rites For Miss Kling
Delayed Funeral Services Held For Girl, Who Died Jan. 23
Murphy – Delayed funeral services for Margaret May Kling, 19, who died of pneumonia Jan. 23, were conducted Monday at 10 a.m. from the First Evangelical Lutheran church by Dr. W. H. Blancke, pastor emeritus, assisted by the pastor, Rev. Fredrick D. Boldt.
Friends of Miss Kling, who are members of the church junior choir, sang, “In the Garden,” “The Old Rugged Cross,” and “I’ll Build My Castles in Heaven,” accompanied by Gretchen Boese and directed by Mrs. A. F. Henning. Those singing were Junella Morris, Nellie Brantner, Edith Daniels, Elnor Christen, Shirley Klopping, Cecilia Johnson, Verta Daniels and Marjorie Johnson.
Interment was in St. Andrews cemetery near Galesburg, with her six brothers serving as pall bearers. They are Fred Kling, Lawrence Kling, Virgil Kling, Lester Kling, Philip Kling, jr., and Louie Kling.
The rites were delayed first to await the arrival of a brother Virgil, who is serving in the United States Navy, and further delayed by the serious illness of her father, Philip Kling, who is ill with pneumonia in the Skiff hospital
