Three Alumnae Gave Lives
Monroe High School has had three alumnae who have been heroes in the war. These boys are famous in the history of the Alumnae of Monroe High School.
Earl Caulkins, who graduated with the class of 1930, was serving in the U. S. Naval Air Corp in this country at the time of his death.
Laurel Stevens, a graduate of the class of 1940 was killed in a plan crash over Brazil on April 11, 1944. He was serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp.
Keith Kingdon, a graduate in the class of 1939, was killed on the island of Siapan on June 23, 1944. Monroe High School is proud of these boys.
