Services Held
Rachel Ryke Kinart, 94, of Clearview Manor in Prairie City, and a former longtime resident of the Monroe area, died January 18, 1992, at the Manor.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Monroe United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Jerry McGee, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Memorials to the Clearview Manor Activity Fund will be accepted.
Survivors are a daughter, June (Mrs. Keith) Sloan of Pella; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Raymond, two brothers, Gerrit and Bill, and two sisters, Amy and Minnie.
Mrs. Kinart was a member of the Monroe United Methodist Church.
The daughter of William and Gertie Rozzenboom Ryke, she was born May 10, 1897 near Pella.
She was married to Raymond Kinart February 20, 1924, near Otley.
She had resided in Clearview Manor for the last eight years.
