Services Held
Services for John Wilbur Kinart, age 69, were held Friday, June 2, 1995, at the Christian Church in Prairie City. Interment was in Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.
John died at his home Tuesday evening, May 30, 1995.
John Wilbur Kinart was born at Prairie City, September 5, 1925, the son of Doyle A. and Catherine Clymer Kinart. He was a lifelong area resident, spending his life farming. In recent time he had been employed at the Farmers Coop Exchange at the Colfax office. A graduate of the Prairie City High School in 1943, he was united in marriage to Rebecca “Becky” Ray, April 29, 1950, at the United Methodist Church in Newton. Mr. Kinart was a member of the Prairie City Christian Church and the Prairie City IOOF.
Surviving are his wife Becky; five children, Jean Dross, Carolyn and husband David Bunch, Raymond and wife Barbara Kinart and Wayne Kinart all of Prairie City, and Tammie and husband Jay Smith of Monroe. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and three sisters, Viva Wilson, Newton; Doris Veverka, Largo, Idaho; and Lavera Green of Newton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
