Services Held
Funeral Services for Burton L. Kent, 62, of Newton, were held September 22, 1990 at the Reese Funeral Home.
The Rev. E. William Kaska, pastor of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church conducted services.
Military graveside rites were held at Glenwood Cemetery in Glenwood.
Among the survivors are his sister, Mary Lou Sheeler, of Monroe.
The son of Floyd and Faye I. Kent, he was born November 2, 1927 in Newton and was a 1945 graduate of Newton Community High School.
He was married to Angie Harms May 22, 1982 in Houston, Texas.
He recently had returned to Newton from Farmington, N.M.
