Services for Mrs. Ora Lucille Kennedy were held August 17, 1995, at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton. She had resided in the Newton Health Care Center in Newton. Interment was in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Mrs. Kennedy passed away August 15, 1995, at the Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
Born May 16, 1918, in rural Marion County, Ora was the daughter of Villy and Nellie Brown McDaniel. She was married to Dea Kennedy September 25, 1941, in Marysville, Missouri.
Mrs. Kennedy was a nurse, retired from the Jasper County Care Facility in 1980. Ora belonged to the Royal Neighbors and Rebekah Lodge.
Survivors are two daughters, Betty and Kenton Mick of Garner, Iowa, and Linda Walker of Newton, Iowa. Also surviving her are four grandchildren, one great-grandchildren, and a sister, Wanda Emerson of Pedergass, Georgia.
Mrs. Kennedy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dea Kennedy on April 16, 1971; a brother, Harold McDaniel; and a twin sister in infancy.
