Lillian Louise Thompson Lee, 89, of Dallas, Texas, passed away Monday, Feb. 22, 2016, at home surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Yazoo City, Miss., Oct. 15, 1926.

Lillian graduated high school in Helena, Ark., in 1944. She worked in civil service as a government secretary on the U.S. Air Force base in Greenville, Miss., and later in life had a full-time career as a housewife and mother. She married Charles L. Lee Aug. 19, 1950, at The First Methodist Church of Greenville, Miss. Lillian had a passion for Jesus Christ, children of all ages and anyone in need. She was a woman of strong Christian faith — which she carried with her every day, was devoted to her family and had a strong compassion for others. Lillian was an example of what unconditional love looks like. She was a longtime member of Arapaho United Methodist Church.

Lillian is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Charles, L. Lee; father, Jim Love Thompson; mother, Clara Augusta Huffman Thompson; sister, Becky Knowles and husband Buck; and son-in-law, Matt Denniston.

She is survived by her brother, Jim Thompson and wife Eloise; son, Art Lee; daughters, Becky Lee-Denniston and Sheryl Wallace and husband Danny; son, David Lee; grandchildren, Justin Lee and wife Christel, Stacie Elliott, Ramon Elliott and wife Susan, Darla Grieco, Courtney Elliott, Lindsey Sales and husband Dave, Thompson Lee and Georgianna Lee; and great-grandchildren, Tyler Lee, Jaquoriun Elliott, Colten Lee, Draven Hullum, Katelynn Lee, Lillian Elliott, Arabella Freeman, Taylor Beers and Brooke Beers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 29 at Sparkman Richardson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be at noon Tuesday, March 1 at Sparkman Richardson Funeral Home, followed by interment at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Lillian’s name to The Alzheimer’s Association in honor of her late husband, Charles.
