Services to Be Held
Services for Jessie Josephine Thomasson Banks will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Monroe United Methodist Church. Interment will be in the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe. Rev. Jerry McGee will officiate the services.
Born October 15, 1890, just south of Monroe in Marion County, Jessie Banks passed away September 16, 1991, at the age of 100 years. She was the daughter of John Franklin and Jannette Willson Thomasson.
On July 16, 1909, she was united in marriage to Guy Joseph Banks at Newton. To this union four children were born: June, Bill, Joe, and Margaret.
She is survived by one brother, Delbert Thomasson and one son–in–law, Floyd Kingery of Monroe, 12 grandchildren, 29 great–grandchildren and 34 great–great–grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, eight brothers, her four children – June (Mrs. Albert Lincoln), Bill, Joe, and Margaret (Mrs. Floyd Kingery). She was also preceded in death by five grandchildren, three great–grandchildren and two great–great–grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Monroe United Methodist Church.
