Services Held
Raymond Bandstra, 69, of rural Otley died October 16, 1990, at the Pella Community Hospital.
Funeral services were held Friday at the Second Christian Reformed Church in Pella.
The Rev. Gordon D. Mouw, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.
Survivors are two sons, Dennis D. of Sioux Center and Mark S. of Pella; a daughter Sharon R. “Shary” Branderhorst of Prairie City; six grandchildren; and a great–granddaughter.
Also surviving are a brother, William, of Pella; and two sisters, Tena (Mrs. John) Westerkamp and Gertrude (Mrs. Henry) Vande Voort, both of Pella.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace, July 14, 1990, his parents and two brothers, Paul and Gilbert.
Mr. Bandstra was a member of the Second Christian Reformed Church in Pella.
The son of Peter and Anna Stursma Bandstra, he was born May 5, 1921 southeast of Pella and attended Flintridge country school, east of Pella, and Sandridge country school, north of Pella.
He was married to Grace E. Buitenwerf August 13, 1942 in Sully.
After their marriage they farmed near Harvey until moving to a farm near Otley in 1956.
