Funeral services were held recently in Napa, California for Coral Currier Baker, with burial there. Death resulted from complications following heart surgery.
A former Monroe resident and a 1932 graduate of Monroe High School, she was born on June 10, 1914 in Bancroft, South Dakota, the daughter of Alfred and Cora Botsford Currier.
Surviving are her husband, Ed Baker, and two sons, Ronald Vanden Baard of San Pedro, California, and Phillip Vanden Baard of Antioch, California; also a brother, Raymond Currier of West Des Moines, and two sisters, Iva Larabee of Lincoln, Nebraska and Opal Sille of Monroe.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jim Vanden Baard, a son, Kenneth Vanden Baard, her parents, and a brother, Warren Currier.
