Life Story of Cathy Alley
Cathy Jean, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Alley of Monroe, passed away at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs. She was 12 years, nine months and 21 days of age when she died on January 22. Cathy was born in Oskaloosa on April 1, 1956.
She is survived by her parents; a sister, Susan; and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Nellie Kirk of Oskaloosa.
Rev. James V. Poulsen officiated at funeral services for Cathy Jean at the United Methodist Church of Monroe on Saturday, Jan. 25.
Mrs. William Lewis sang “In the Garden” and “Near the Cross” accompanied by Mrs. Wayne Lubberden.
Casket Bearers were LeRoy DeHeer, Gary Brose, Bob Mohler, Jerald Heck, Jimmy Ellis and Howard Carr.
Interment was in the Silent City Cemetery of Monroe.
