Services Held
Funeral services for Wilma Shaw Agar, 69, were held Sept. 8, 1989 at the First United Methodist Church. Rev. Jerry Brown, pastor of the church conducted services. Burial was in the Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.
She died Monday Sept. 4 at Skiff Medical Center.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph, a son and two daughters, and seven grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, two sisters and a brother.
The daughter of Thomas O. and Anna Gettis Shaw, she was born Oct. 17, 1919 in Monroe. She married Ralph W. Agar April 13, 1941 in Newton.
Mrs. Agar has resided in Monroe and Colfax prior to moving to Newton with her family at the age of eight.
