Inez E. Wells, 100, of Newton died on Friday, December 25, 2015, at Nelson Manor. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 30, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials to the Seventh Day Adventist Church or Skiff Hospice may be left at the funeral home.

Inez, the daughter of John W. and Effie (Tolles) McKee, was born on January 8, 1915 in Montezuma, Iowa. She was raised by her grandparents, Ira and Delia Tolles and attended school in New Sharon. Inez was united in marriage with Carl Wells on October 28, 1933 in Oskaloosa, Iowa. They made their home around the New Sharon area before moving to Newton, Iowa in 1952. Inez was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed flower gardening and working in the yard along with being involved with her nieces and nephews and their families.

Those left to remember Inez are her nieces and nephews, including Jim and JoAnna Agnew of Newton; great nieces and nephews; and her great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Wells in 2008; a son in infancy; and two sisters, Nina Current and Elsie Agnew. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 25 Dec 2015.
