Rebecca “Becky” L. Schroyer, 73, of Baxter died on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at Baxter Healthcare. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, December 18, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home and after the service with a lunch at the Baxter United Congregational Church. Memorials in Becky’s name or to Skiff Hospice may be left at the funeral home.

Becky, the daughter of Clarence and Lucille (Robbins) Dammeier, was born on December 26, 1941 in Jasper County by Metz. She graduated from Newton High School in 1961. Becky was united in marriage with Tom Schroyer on February 16, 1963 in Baxter. They lived in Newton for a short time before making their home in Baxter. Becky worked for many years at Party Time Pizza in Newton before being the cook at the Baxter Community Schools from 1985 until her retirement in 2007. She was also a devoted homemaker.

Becky attended the Baxter United Congregational Church. She enjoyed embroidery, camping, and spending time with her family.

Those left to honor Becky’s memory are her grandson, Wade Lintz of Des Moines; nephew, Gene Fultz of Alburnett; and a great-nephew, Shawn Fultz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tom in 2008; son, Danny in infancy; daughter, Deonne Schroyer Lintz in 2006; twin sister, Marvel Dammeier; sisters, Doris Bosma and Barb Miller; and brothers, Charles Dammeier and Donald Dammeier. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 13 Dec 2015.
