Daisy P. Paxson-Young, age 80 of Monroe, passed away on Friday, December 11, 2015, at Hospice of Pella - Comfort House. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at 1:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe. Burial will follow at Dunreath Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Monday, December 14, 2015, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Pella - Comfort House or the John Stoddard Cancer Center in Des Moines. Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com

The daughter of Joseph and Bernice (Mohler) Clark, Daisy was born on August 11, 1935, in Dunreath. Following the death of her mother, Daisy was adopted by M. Faye (Dykstra) Clark. She graduated from Monroe High School and attended A.I.B in Des Moines. On June 2, 1956, she was united in marriage to John Paxson. She later married LaVerne Young on August 17, 1985. Daisy was a member of the Monroe Community of Christ.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, June (Mark) Spinler of Indianola, Nancy (Mark) Van Hal of Friendswood, Texas, and Clayton Paxson of Monroe; 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; a sister, Jane (Steve) Friedman of Monroe, two brothers, Paul and David Clark both of Monroe; a sister-in-law, Janet Clark of Monroe and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding her in death were her parents, both husbands, a brother, Milo Clark and a sister-in-law, Joann Clark. ~ The Coburn Funeral Home, Colfax, Iowa 11 Dec 2015.
