Funeral services for Douglas Lee DeVault, 42, of Greenfield, a relative of a number of Jasper County residents, wee held Saturday in Greenfield.

He died recently at the Mercy Hospital in Des Mines.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey DeVault of Colo. ~ Newspaper unknown, possibly The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Mon 10 Apr 1978.

Douglas DeVault, Former Rhodes Resident, Dies

RHODES - Funeral services for Douglas Lee DeVault, 42, executive director of the Adair County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service and a former resident of Rhodes were held recently at the Greenfield United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Richard T. Hohl, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in the Greenfield Cemetery.

He died recently at the Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

He is survived by his wife, Sue; a daughter, Debra, a senior at Northwest Missouri State University; a son, Michael; a grandson; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey DeVault of Colo; and a brother, Max DeVault of Des Moines.

The son of Harvey and Zerelda DeVault, he was born July 25, 1935 in Rhodes. ~ Newspaper unknown, possibly The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Thurs 20 Apr 1978.
