Ona Hampton Services Are Held Today

PRAIRIE CITY - Funeral services for Mrs. Frank (Ona Merle) Hampton, 63 of Wesley Acres in Des Moines, a former resident of Prairie City, were held today at the First Reformed Church in Prairie City.

The Rev. Daniel Ramaker, pastor of the church, assisted by the Rev. Roy Parker, pastor of the Church of the Open Bible in Iowa Falls, conducted services. Burial was in the Vandalia Cemetery.

Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City handled arrangements.

Survivors are a son, Frank LeVerne Hampton of Iowa Falls; a daughter, Mrs. Bill (Margaret Jean) Dale of Des Moines; 13 grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Gladys Irons of Runnells.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and three sisters.

The daughter of Charles and Rhoda Underwood Anderson, she was born Jan. 2, 1915 at Polk County.

She was married Jan. 1, 1936.

She died Monday at Wesley Acres. ~ Newspaper unknown, possibly The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Thurs 23 Mar 1978.
