Former Resident Dies in California

Private funeral services for Carroll Sherman Largent, 78, of Chico, Calif., a former resident of Newton, were held recently at the Hall-Van Hook Funeral Home in Chico.

He died recently in Chico.

Survivor are his wife, Merna; three sons, Dean of West Covina, Calif., James of San Diego, Calif., and John of Chico, Calif.; a daughter, Barbara Stotts of San Bernardino, Calif.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Ralph and Charles; and two sisters, Ruth Duming and Grace Stansberry.

He was married to Merna Reeves in Spencer. ~ Newspaper unknown, possibly The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Thurs 23 Mar 1978.
