Leo Beason, 61, of Fond du Lac, Wis., a former resident of Newton, died Tuesday at Fond du Lac.

Funeral services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Fond du Lac. Burial will be in Fond du Lac.

Survivors are his wife, Verna; two daughters, Kay and Joann; three grandchildren; a brother, Gordon of Plymouth, Wis.; his mother, Mrs. Grover Beason of Cedar Rapids, a former Newton resident; and three sisters, Mrs. Paul (Reva) McClure of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Carl (Aldena) De Moss of Newton and Mrs. Glen (Marjorie) Godfrey of Newton.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Carl.

Mr. Beason was employed at the Newton Tool and Die while residing in Newton.
