Ruth B. Andrews Dies on Sunday; Rites Wednesday

Mrs. John (Ruth B.) Andrews, 79, of 2701 1st Ave. W., a resident of Newton for the past 25 years, died Sunday evening at Skiff Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Toland-Wallace Funeral Home.

Dr. Richard Bentzinger, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery in Albia.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Survivors are her husband, John; a brother, Jack Colwell of Chariton, and two sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Jane) Runnells of Geneseo, Ill., and Mrs. Herbert (Lydia) Duffner of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

The daughter of John and Anna Garver Colwell, she was born May 26, 1899 at Hiteman.

She was married May 3, 1920 at Albia.

Mrs. Andrews resided in Lovilia before moving to Newton. ~ Newspaper unknown, possibly the Newton Daily news, Newton, Iowa Mon 6 Mar 1978.
