Frank Stremfel Dies Thursday; Rites Saturday

COLFAX - Frank T. Stremfel, 67, of Colfax, died Thursday at Colfax.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.

The Rev. Omer Woltering, pastor of the Immaculate Conception Church in Colfax, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Colfax Cemetery.

Memorial contributions to the Heart Fund will be accepted.

Survivors are his wife, Fern; a daughter, Mrs. Gary (Linda) Jones of Colfax; A granddaughter, Sara; two brothers, John of Colfax and Art of Prairie City; and five sisters, Mrs. Nick (Mary) Leydens and Mrs. Earl (Nettie) Bale, both of Colfax, Mrs. Bernard (Elizabeth) Smith of Thompson, Mrs. Walter (Geneieve) Crawford of Gary, Ind., and Mrs. Ann Williams of Newton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother and an infant sister.

Mr. Stremfel, a Maytag Co. employee, was a veteran of World II.

The son of Jacob and Antonia Dolinsiek Stremfel, he was born Sept. 13, 1910 at Sievers.

He was married to Fern Davidson Sept. 25, 1937 at Muscatine. ~ Newspaper unknown, possibly The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Fri 24 Feb 1978.
