Rozella Freeman Dies Wednesday; Rites Saturday

Mrs. William R. (Rozella E.) Freeman, 55, of 430 S. 4th Ave. W., a resident of Newton since March, 1959, and a resident of Baxter for five years prior to coming to Newton, died Wednesday evening at the Skiff Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Toland Wallace Funeral Home.

The Rev. David Rex, pastor of the Church of God, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Friday.

Survivors are her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Rex (Francis) Gatrel of Des Moines, Mrs. Sandra Teater of Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. Donna barber of Fairfield, Calif., and Mrs. Francis (Betty) Gragg of Monroe; 10 grandchildren; a half-brother, Nolin Beard of Kokomo, Ind., and a half-sister, Mrs. Maude Phelps of Gradin, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Freeman, who attended the Church of God in Newton, was born Oct. 6, 1922 at Lilbourn, Mo.

She was married July 17, 1941 at Charleston, Mo. ~ Newspaper unknown, possibly the Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Thur 2 Feb 1978.
