Cathy Louise (Henning) McDaniels of Lake Livingston, Texas, died Saturday, March 21, 2015 at a Houston hospital. As per her wishes there was no funeral service. A private gathering will be held later to intern her cremains.
The daughter of William A. Henning, Sr. and Marguerite Bral, Cathy was born April 30, 1951 in Colfax, Iowa. Cathy attended schools in Colfax and Newton. She was united in marriage to Michael McDaniels June 16, 1969 and they later divorced. She moved to Texas over 30 years ago and has remained a resident there ever since. She was an independent person who liked to do things her way and she enjoyed her lake home and the outdoors.
Cathy is survived by her daughter, Tiffany VandeKrol, and her two sons, Michael (Angie) and Travis McDaniels; along with grandchildren Saige VandeKrol, Ely, Mia, Natalie, Michael, Ashley, Gerald and Victoria McDaniels.
Cathy is also survived by six sisters: Diana (Randy) Wagner, Pamela (Steve) Busick, Marita Jackson, Mary Ann Hawkins, Michelle (Tyrone) Heslep and Patricia (Chris) Drewis; and two brothers: Bill and Bruce Henning. Other survivors are 2 half-sisters, 1 half-brother, 1 aunt, 2 uncles, and many nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, a nephew and several aunts and uncles.
