Terry A. Karsten, 68, of St. Charles, Mo., formerly of Newton, died of pneumonia Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lake Saint Louis, Mo.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23 at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. The family will greet friends immediately following the memorial service with a coffee time at the funeral home from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. A private family burial will be held at a later date at the Palo Alto Cemetery in rural Newton.
Memorials to the New Hope Presbyterian Church in St. Charles, Mo., or to the donor’s choice may be left at the funeral home. Memorials may also be mailed to the Wallace Family Funeral Home please add, Attn: Karsten Family on the envelope.

Those left to honor Terry’s memory are his wife, Debbie of St. Charles, Mo.; son, David (Abby) Karsten of Rock Hill, Mo.; his granddaughter, Estelle; sister, Nancy (Richard) Hobson of Albuquerque, N.M.; brother, Craig (Erin) Karsten of Portland, Ore.; and brothers-in-law, Kenny (Chris Ann) Vanderpool of Russell and Burt (Linda) Simbro of Monroe.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Steven J. Karsten in 2005; and sister, Barbara Fader.
