'Dixie' Templeton Rites Scheduled Thursday Afternoon

MONROE -- Funeral service for Mrs. Keith (Lavina "Dixie") Templeton, 44, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the United Presbyterian Church in Monroe.

The Rev. Douglas Maben, pastor of the church, will conduct services. burial will be in the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.

Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe is handling arrangements.

Survivors are her husband: two sons, Robert Flaws of Des Moines and Dennis Flaws of Monroe; a daughter, Michelle Thomason of Monroe; her step-father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Mickelson of Des Moines; and a sister, Mrs. James (Joyce) Livingston of Mitchellville.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest Thomason; her father; and a son.

Mrs. Templeton was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Monroe, where she served as church secretary.

The daughter of Lawrence and Margaret Wilson Watts, she was born June 7, 1933 in Webster City.

Mrs. Templeton was married Aug. 26, 1965 in Des Moines.

She died Monday morning at her home. ~ Newspaper unknown, but possibly The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Tues 14 Feb 1978.
