Cecil C. Watson, Dealers Warehouse Officer, Dies

Cecil C. Watson, 74, of 426 S. 2nd Ave. W., a resident of Newton since 1924, died Saturday at Skiff Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Toland Wallace Funeral Home.

The Rev. James Conger, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Toland Wallace Funeral Home.

Memorials to the First Baptist Church will be accepted.

Survivors are his wife, Dorothy; a sister, Mr. Wendell (Wanda) Meggitt of Iowa City; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in deathy by his parents and five brothers.

Mr. Watson was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Mr. Watson was a draftsman at Denniston and Partridge and then an officer at Dealers Warehouse.

The son of Charles and Addie Shepherd Watson, he was born Dec. 30, 1903 at Eagle Grove and was graduated from Eagle Grove High School and Cedar Rapids Business College.

He was married to Dorothy Stockton June 27, 1934 in Des Moines. ~ Newspaper unknown, but possibly The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Mon 1 May 1978.
