James L. Milburn, 79, of Whittier, Calif., died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2015, from complications of Parkinson’s Disease. He was preceded in death by his parents, Omar and Bernice Milburn; brother, Dale; and sisters, Wanda Lou White and Beverly Deutsch.

He is survived by his wife Peggy, married 59 years; daughters, Barbara (Jon) Strayer of Yorba Linda, Calif., and Brenda (David) Alban of Thousand Oaks, Calif.; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers, Don and Gary of Grinnell and Larry of Newton; sisters, Joan Sievers of Storm Lake and Joyce Capps of Waterloo.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17 at the East Whittier Methodist Church. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa 8 Oct 2015.
