SERVICES HELD

Services for Nathella Rose Van Baale McCarter were held Tuesday, July 8 at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home. Rev. Ric Wright officiated the services. Interment was in Cumberland view Cemetery.

Nathella Van Baale McCarter passed away Friday, July 4, 2003, in a Chattanooga hospital following heart surgery.
The daughter of the late John Martin and Eva Gladys Oldham Van Baale, she was born in Monroe, Iowa. She attended high school in Monroe and furthered her education with one year of college and three years of nursing school. She loved being a nurse, but to support her family, she was employed as a Journeyman Machinist. She was a member of Holly Avenue United Methodist Church and Beta Sigma Phi.

Survivors are two daughters, Candy Judkins of South Pittsburg, Tennessee, and Penny Juarez of Smithville, North Carolina; five sons, Mike Myers of Seattle, Washington, Pat Myers of Newton, Iowa, Conrad Myers of Deepwater, Missouri, Sgt. Daniel Myers of Jacksonville, North Carolina, and David id Myers of Urich, Missouri. She also leaves 27 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Wendell Van Baale of Newton, and Darell Van Baale of Sedalia, Missouri, and one sister, Bessie McKeag of Newton.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Charles Merlywn James Myers and Joseph Elijah McCarter.

SOUTH PITTSBURG, Tenn. - Nathella Rose (VanBaale) McCarter, 78, of South Pittsburg, formerly of Jasper County, died Friday, July 4, in a Chattanooga hospital following heart surgery.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home in South Pittsburg, Tenn., with the Rev. Ric Wright officiating. Burial will be at Cumberland View Cemetery in Tennessee.

The family will receive friends today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. McCarter was the daughter of John Martin and Eva Gladys (Oldham) Van Baale. She was a member of Holly Avenue United Methodist Church and Beta Sigma Phi.

Survivors include two daughters, Candy Judkins of South Pittsburg, Tenn., and Penny Juarez of Smithville, N.C.; five sons, Mike Myers of Seattle, Pat Myers of Newton, Conrad Myers of Deepwater, Mo., Sgt.
